About Us
Home Transition Resource was founded based on the belief that the unique needs of seniors are of utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs and constantly strives to exceed clients' expectations. Our primary goal is to deliver the best service in the industry.
Our clients find that while we address the particulars of a move, the greatest benefit we provide is peace of mind that their move will be well-coordinated and less stressful than if they were to do it themselves.
Home Transition Resource is a fully insured and bonded company and a member of The National Association of Senior Move Managers.
About the Founder
Kate Grondin earned a Master of Social Work degree from Simmons College School of Social Work in Boston, MA. Before graduating, she interned at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center as well as the V.A. Day Treatment Center leading various groups and working one-on-one with veterans. After graduating, she worked as a hospital social worker providing crisis intervention, family support, and discharge planning for in-patients at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Kate's sensitivity to the needs of seniors dates back to childhood when she would visit the local nursing home to sing on Sundays while her mother played the piano. Now a wife and mother, Kate has been offering guidance and support to her own parents, both 84 years old, in organizing their belongings from a house they have lived in for nearly 60 years.
Kate is a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (www.NASMM.org), and the National Council on Aging (www.NCOA.org). In addition to volunteering at her boys’ school, she is a "friendly visitor" thru the Andover Senior Center and is a task force member of The Andovers Village at Home (www.TAVAH.org). You can reach Kate directly via email at kgrondin@hometr.net.
